Trading rules
Salaries must match 115 Percent unless team taking on more money has the cap room.
Any draft pick can be traded up to 3 years out.
May not put trade protections aka Lotto Protected on picks.
May not trade a player back and forth in 2 consecutive trades.
If you have cap room a player can be traded for cash. (Trading cash has to be for a min of 5.00 cash. We do everything 5's here to keep bank, claims, bets inline with camp prices.)
You may trade up to 5 players per trade, per team.
You may not make a trade that will put either team over the hard cap.
You may not trade a player you signed during offseason FA until after FA has been completed.
Player transactions rules
You may NOT change any players position. HOWEVER, you can post asking to see what your players defense will be at a position.
IE: post Team wonders as topic title then post the players name, current position, new position. (Limit of 2 players per sim, one postion each.)
All posts can be made new threads each time you make a post.
Signing Free Agents during the season will be a first post first get basis. Each player will be signed to the league min based on that players service time. You must wait for that player to be on the FA list in order to sign him, meaning you cant sign him just because you see a team post they cut him. (Limit of 2 players per sim)
Please do not bump yours posts as it messes the order up. I will process every post before each sim on that sim day.

Signing/Cutting players
During the season and after the Free Agency period you can sign or cut any player you like. This will be a first post, first get basis during the season.
On the day FA opens after Training Camp, you must post to sign players yourself. You cannot have another team sign players on your behalf, until Midnight EST of that day.
Please make your posts titles as the following: Team name, Signs, or Cuts, or both
In the post please put players name and position you are signing, and cutting.
Example
Heat Sign SF John Doe, Cut SF Jane doe or something to this nature.
added rules
you can only sign 2 players per sim (During season)
you can only wonder about 2 players position changes per sim
you can only change 2 players positions per sim
You cannot sign a player that was released until 24 hours have passed since the cut was posted.
*note* please do not bump your threads in the transactions section, I will process each post in order on sim days.
Free Agency/Hardcap rules
You are allowed to make 10 contract offers per free agency sim.
MLE, LLE, and Min contracts will only be entered as one year deals.
Players signed during FA cannot be traded until FA has been completed.
Minimum Contracts (Based on Player's Experience)
Rookie - $332,817
1 year - $465,850
2 years - $540,850
3 years - $565,850
4 years - $590,850
5 years - $653,350
6 years - $715,850
7 years - $778,350
8 years - $840,850
9 years - $965,850
10+ years - $1,000,000
Maximum Contracts (Based on Player's Experience)
0-6 years: 25% of salary cap (or $15,500,000)
7-9 years: 30% of salary cap (or $18,600,000)
10+ years: 35% of salary cap (or $21,700,000)
* - These are the first year salaries on a max contract and they go up from there.
If a player signs with a new team:
1. The contract can be for up to 6 seasons.
2. The player can receive a raise each year of up to 10% of the value of the first year of the contract.
3. The maximum salary of the first year of the contract is the smaller of the amount of cap room the tem has and the maximum salary the player can receive based on his experience in the league.
4. The Max salary for the 1st year is based off what you have remaining in softcap money. Meaning you can only max out what you have for starting year 1 money. (IE if you have 9mil in softcap room the first year of the max deal would be 9mil)
If a player is resigning with his previous team and has 3 or more Bird years:
1. The contract can be up for 7 seasons.
2. The player can receive a raise each year of up to 12.5% of the value of the first year of the contract.
3. The Max salary for the 1st year is based off what you have remaining in softcap money. Meaning you can only max out what you have for starting year 1 money. (IE if you have 9mil in softcap room the first year of the max deal would be 9mil)
If a player is resigning with his previous team and has less than 3 Bird years:
1. The contract can be for up to 6 seasons.
2. The player can receive a raise each year of up to 10% of the value of the first year of the contract.
Teams over the salary cap have these options:
Mid-Level Exception of $4,500,000
Low-Level Exception of $1,200,000
Min contract offer
These must be used on one player and can't be split between players. For example, the MLE can't be used to offer one player a $3 million deal and one player a $1.5 million deal.
Softcap = 62.0 million
Hardcap = 82.0 million
If you go over the 82.0 mil hardcap you must cut a player with free cut sim (2nd round drafted player in that years draft.), or make a trade to get under it by the following sim. If you fail to get under the hardcap then the following fines will take place at that sim.
"1. A 350 GM cash fine (Which would be reversed if the GM bailed on the team.)
2. Loss of next upcoming 1st round pick.
3. 3 sim suspension of teams best player as picked by the commish.
4. No GM cash awards, or claims until under hardcap.
5. If owner bails or quits with team over cap the commish can make a free cut to get team under the hardcap for a new owner."
If you are over the softcap you cannot make FA offers during the FA period other than MLE, LLE, and league min offers. You can also offer on a player you have the birdrights to (which you can max up to the 82 mil hardcap depending where you are at in the hardcap). If you want to make a normal FA offer you will have to make a trade to get under the softcap.
Hard Cap Waiver System
From now on, if a team accidentally goes over the Hard Cap in free agency, they'll have to use the option of "waiving" any of the players that they signed on the day they went over.
Teams will then have the option of claiming the player by submitting a blind GM cash bid into me. Bids will start as low as $5 and must be in $5 increments. In the case of a tie, all owners that are tied will be sent a message asking to place a new bid that must be higher than the original bid or forfeit their bid. The team with the winning bid assumes the original contract that was signed in FA. These teams must have the cap space to assume the contract or their bid does not count. Only exceptions would be:
1) if the bidding team has Bird Rights on the player and adding the contract would not put them over the hard cap.
2) If the waived player is a MLE or LLE player, and the bidding team has not used the exception yet.
3) If the waived player is a minimum contract, then any team with space under the hard cap can bid.
In the event that no claim is made on the player, the team over the hard cap will have the option of waiving a different player that was signed on the day he went over the hard cap.
If all players have been waived and go unclaimed, Slick and Costa will decide which player goes back to free agency and the team is subject to a fine/loss of draft pick.
Tanking rules
Any owner who puts star (based on that teams roster.) players when healthy on IR, bench, or fails to put them into lineup will be viewed by the IBA as tanking. Your best players must be playing more than backup minutes at all times no exceptions will be made by the IBA and we will remove you if needed. When a owner fails to follow this rule we will auto the depth chart for the sim in question, PM the owner a warning, and remove the owner if they fail to follow the rules listed above.
Salaries must match 115 Percent unless team taking on more money has the cap room.
Any draft pick can be traded up to 3 years out.
May not put trade protections aka Lotto Protected on picks.
May not trade a player back and forth in 2 consecutive trades.
