Draft is now open. It is currently untimed until 9 am tomorrow morning, then everyone has 2 hours to pick.

wow, I would have thought GP was going to be one of the top picks for sure I expected him #1, or #2. Honestly since the Spurs had both it really did not matter tho.

well yeah but they took to big guys with both picks...guess they already have Brent Barry so not a big need at PG, makes sense but had to be tought to pass on Payton. I would have taken him #1 but I am biased being a life long Sonics and Payton fan haha

Payton is the best player overall imo. For him to fall to #3 is a coup for the Blazers. I know he isn't the best fit yet, but Randy Smith or Payton should be able to play pg. Payton/Smith/Marion/?/Dawkins is a fairly nice core four.

I had no big men at all and COleman to me is the best player and with camps will be a stud and Beaty looks to have the potential to be a terror. Plus I value the C/PF position higher then PG.

Yeah specially with having top 1-2 picks you could always go with best guy and needs for sure.

Definitely would've gone Payton first...normally you value big men over PG but this league is filled with studs at the 1. Payton's gonna be a lock down defender at that spot which is huge.

Maybe payton backs both Smith and Dr. J, IDK. Payton is my PG after Smith's contract expires this season, that's for sure.

That's the problem....the need for big men is much bigger than the need for point guards. Look at slick.... Nater and smith dominated....kings too...and the grizz....

I forgot you got Dr. J. In that case, honestly I would probably go with Payton/Smith/Dr. J/Marion/Dawkins honestly. Obviously you might have to flip flop Payton and Smith. I'd probably try to switch those two in the two preseason sims.

Plus to me you can always trade for a pg or wait for draft as there always seem to be some good ones. Not too many teams dominate the frontcourt and this draft got me two very good ones.
