I was asked this today, and I wanted to post it again (I have in the past) to make sure all the new guys know what goes into the letter grades and what FBB as a game restricts as far as ratings:
Inside Scoring (Inside, Str, Jmp) Outside (3pt, Jumper) Handles (Qck, Hnd, Pass) Defense (Post, Per, Drive, Blk, Stl, Qck, Str) Rebound (Oreb, Dreb, Str, Qck)
A C cannot have over 75 Handles, Passing or Per D A PF cannot have over 80 Hanles, 80 Pasing or 75 Per D A SF has no restrictions A SG cannot go over 60 OReb or Dreb a PG cannot go over 50 Oreb, 50 Dreb or 75 Post D
Hope this helps everyone! I will leave this as an announcement for everyone to see.

Also keep this in mind when camping, as I never tell anyone when they go over a limit whether it's a limit in FBB, as above, or over the 90 cap limit we have set in the league.

I assume letter grades are an average of the specific attributes applied to a scale... Is there anyway you could post the actual scale of how A+, A, A-, etc. is determined?

I assume letter grades are an average of the specific attributes applied to a scale... Is there anyway you could post the actual scale of how A+, A, A-, etc. is determined? For example, outside is determined by midrange and 3s....what is the average between those two categories needed to be listed as A+?

The problem is that I don't know the specific averages for every single category, so I can't actually post that.
For instance Handles. If I make someone 100 handles 5 quick and 5 pass his handles are F-. If I go 100 quick 5 handles and 5 pass his handles are a D-. If I go 5 quick 5 handles and 100 pass his handles are a B.
For outside because it's 2 categories it's easy enough to know since they are weighted equally (I just tried it now to see, and indeed they are weighted equally) you need a 96 in one category and a 95 in the other for an A+ outside.
The rest have variations for an A+. Handles and passing at 100 and quickness at 5 is an A but raising it to 18 gives you an A+. There's some variations on how to get there obviously. The most important stat in handles is DEFINITELY passing, that's all I know.
When I tried 18 handles and 100 quickness and 100 passing it was only A not A+, so that doesn't even make sense when 100 quickness alone made him D- from F- and 100 handles didn't budge from F-
FBB is a huge mystery in this regard, when I make players I have a general idea of how to manipulate values to get a letter grade that might be misleading in the case of a player who might turn out to be a bust in real life and who I want to make look better so it reflects real life, but I don't know the actual interplay percentages for the specific categories.
If anyone who runs a league or has an idea regarding this stuff has input feel free to post. I share what I think with you guys so everyone gets that benefit at least. TBH most commissioners would prefer you guys to be in the dark it's easier to run a league with people who don't know lol
