This is an awesome idea. I know there will be some sort of challenge to Ryan when our teams play again. I'm sure I'll have to give him some points in order for him to accept, but that makes it that much better.
One thing I'm going to do though is make the points in .5 increments. I don't want to give him 10 points, then win the game by 10, and have it be a push.

lol giving some spread points is a good idea though that makes it interesting it should also be taken in account who is playing at home so in your nets vs wiz scenario if we were playing at your place i think +10 would be to low maybe +13 i see what your saying though. before you start them you should have people post in a thread who is actually willing to be challenged? This has to work like a trade. Send a PM, or maybe a shoutbox asking him, or even just post it and send the link to him. However you choose to discuss particulars, you decide who you want to bet against. For instance, if you're dead set on betting next sim the Wizards play Jazz and Rockets home, Spurs and T'Wolves away. You're about even with the Jazz and T'Wolves, so you could PM both and ask them if they'd take a bet straight up. Rockets are the best team in the league, and you're home, so maybe you say I'm going to ask Don, aka Senor Moneybags Texas El Pesos, and say "If you give me 9.5 points in our game, would you place a $50 bet?" (remember, doesn't have to be a bet of $100) Heck, you could even make abet with someone in a game you play them for something more specific. PAcers think they have a great defense? OK, next time we play, over/under my season average FG% when we play. $100 bet,. And you could see if they'd take that. Like maybe you're playing the Rockets, and you're not wanting to bet on the outcome of teh game, because you think no amount of points will save you. Well, what if you said (Nash gets double digit assists against you)...Maybe he takes THAT? It's kind of wide open. Only requirements are both parties agree on the bet amount and the parameters of the bet, the bet takes place in ONE sim, and a team makes only ONE back alley bet per sim not exceeding $100. Post. accept. And have fun!

And, like I mentioned, I've left all parameters of the bet up to the individual teams betting! but the .5 spread is a great suggestion!
