Dirk plays PF... not C I'm very aware. But he is not going to be made a PF so some douche can play him at SF I most likely would never play him as a small forward but I think he does need to be listed at his position

If you trade him or lose him in FA to someone, then that person may exploit him and play him at SF. It's the reason T-Mac is a SF, and there are other players who I can't think of right now that it's been done to as well. It's so the league doesn't turn into a shit show of players dominating out of position

Can TMAC be backup point at least ? Yes the rules are if someone is a set position they can play 1 position up or down as a starter and 2 positions up or down as a backup. So a SF can backup any position
